Tu­tors of­fer sum­mer art cour­ses

STU­DENTS will have the chance to make hats, dec­o­rate cakes, or cre­ate iPad sketches on cour­ses be­ing run by a set of tu­tors at a sum­mer school.

Other cour­ses be­ing of­fered at this year’s Sum­mer School at Mis­senden Abbey, in Great Mis­senden, in­clude char­coal drawing or oil paint­ing for begin­ners.

The cour­ses are be­ing of­fered by four artists and craft spe­cial­ists.

They are Peter Kee­gan, 29, from Winslow, who is lead­ing a two-day course in char­coal drawing and a three-day course in oil paint­ing for begin­ners; Flore Edith, 45, a millinery teacher from Bore­ham­wood who will be run­ning a hat­mak­ing for begin­ners class; Nancy Tay­lor, 54, from High Wy­combe, who is run­ning an iPad art us­ing brushes app course; and Ni­cola Feakes, 39, from Amer­sham, who has been designing and cre­at­ing cakes for the past 10 years and runs her own busi­ness.

She said: “I’m very ex­cited about the prospect of teach­ing cake dec­o­rat­ing at Mis­senden Abbey. The Abbey is such a beau­ti­ful venue, the per­fect back­drop for cre­at­ing stunning cakes.” Her course in cake dec­o­rat­ing
