Pupils at Elmtree School and Nursery, Chesham, experienced a ‘musical extravaganza’ last week to celebrate Music Day, which took place on Friday.
The children were treated to performances by visiting musicians from the Music Centre and also welcomed a host of talented musical parents into the school in Elm Tree Hill to share their skills on instruments such as the bass guitar, flute, violin, saxophone, piano and drums.
With the help of the parents the children created an eco song and a school song, which they sang in a sharing assembly at the end of the day.
Deputy headteacher Jane Gardner said: “The school would like to thank all the parents who gave their time and talents so generously and also to Thomas Harding School for the
loan of its African drums.”
