Pan­cake cafe proves a hit

Sis­ters Wil­low and Si­enna en­joy the pan­cake cafe with their mum Loretta PEO­PLE popped into a pan­cake cafe on Tues­day.

To mark Shrove Tues­day, the Chal­font St Giles Church held a cafe serv­ing up pancakes, in the Read­ing Room, in High Street.

All prof­its will go to char­ity and the day was spon­sored by Chal­font Clas­sic Cui­sine.

Shrove Tues­day marks the day be­fore Lent be­gins and is tra­di­tion­ally the time to use up any store cup­board left­overs be­fore fast­ing for Lent.

Lent lunches will be held by the church on Fri­days, from 11.30am to 2pm in the Read­ing Room.
