Students hope Festekit will be their big break
A GROUP of budding entrepreneurs are creating a kit with everything a festival-goer would need.
The Young Enterprise company includes students from Dr Challoner’s High School, in Little Chalfont, Dr Challoner’s Gramamr School, in Amersham, and St Mary’s School, in Gerrards Cross.
They have named the kit Festekit and it aims to pack everything that you could need for a festival into a lightweight bag.
Keen festival-goer and managing director of the company Johnny Pagni, 16, said: “I wanted the experience of running my own business. It is more complicated than you would think.”
There are 10 students involved with the company and they have their meetings in GE Healthcare, in Little Chalfont.
The kit includes hand sanitiser, UV paint, flask and condoms.
The Dr Challoner’s Grammar School student said: “We started off with lots of different ideas. We
The students share their ideas thought about what we do with our time and what sort of things would be useful for us and that is how we came up with the idea of making the festival kit.
“It is hard work creating something from scratch, but it has made me more interested in business and how it all works.”
There will be three formats of the kit – a basic, bronze and premium – and the price will range from £8 to £13.
Johnny, who studies maths, philosophy, English and history at AS level, hopes that the kit will be ready for people to take to festivals this summer.
