£2m house sales on rise in Bucks
FORTY-ONE properties in Buckinghamshire sold for more than £2m in 2014.
According to the Land Registry, the number of sales – 10 in Chiltern and 31 in South Bucks – was up from 30 in 2013.
The number of £2m sales in South Bucks has more than doubled from 15 in a year.
There were a total of 271 sales for £1m or more in 2014, with 122 in Chiltern and 149 in South Bucks, up from a total of 235 in 2013.
The most expensive sale was Fulmer Rise Manor, in Fulmer Rise, Fulmer, which sold for £7.075m.
Across England and Wales, there were 13,428 £1m plus sales and 2,929 £2m plus sales in 2014.
The number of £2m-plus sales in England and Wales has nearly doubled in five years, from 1,520 in 2014. The numbers were up 15.5 per cent from 2013, when there were 2,535 sales.
The number of properties selling for £1m or more across England and Wales was up by a fifth (21.1 per cent) from 11,086, and was up by 80 per cent over five years, from 7,429 in 2010.
