The Jolly Sports­man in Eskdale Av­enue has been se­lected as one of the few pubs that Carls­berg and talkSPORT will visit in their search for the Peo­ple’s Pun­dit. Fancy your­self as a com­men­ta­tor? Think you could do a bet­ter job than ex­ist­ing pun­dits? Then now is your chance.

The Peo­ple’s Pun­dit tour van will be at the pub be­tween 6pm and 8pm on Mon­day, March 2 when peo­ple will have the chance to record their en­try for the com­pe­ti­tion.

The win­ner will be a pun­dit on talkSPORT for the fi­nal Pre­mier League match of the sea­son.

The mu­sic karaoke style con­test searches for the best singer in the area with con­tendors per­form­ing in a se­ries of heats to earn points lead­ing up to a fi­nal show down.

The first heat will be Satur­day, March 21.

Get­bucks is an of­fi­cial spon­sor again this year, with re­porter Jo-Anne Rowney set to judge as well. Prizes in­clude cash, vouch­ers and a tro­phy.
