Boys’ dragon dance to celebrate
PUPILS at a school celebrated Chinese New Year by performing a dragon dance in the playground.
Reception boys at Thorpe House School in Gerrards Cross did not let the fact that Chinese New Year fell during half term stop them from celebrating the occasion.
Youngsters acted out the Chinese New Year story, focusing on the characters and setting.
They then worked together to perform the dragon dance.
Mrs Causer, a reception teacher at the school, said: “The boys did a great job performing their dragon dance.
“They needed to be really co-ordinated and stay together to make the dragon look as authentic as possible which they did really well.”
