Junior reporter Manasi has a ball
AN 11-year-old film enthusiast realised her dreams when she interviewed the stars of the film Cinderella.
Manasi Kumar, from Chalfont St Peter, spoke to the celebrities as part of her role as a junior reporter for Into Film, a education charity which helps young people to learn about films.
She quizzed Lily James, Richard Madden, Holliday Granger, Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell and Kenneth Branagh about making the film of the classic fairytale.
Speaking about her day she said: “It was really fun interviewing all the stars. I learned a lot about the film.
“I learned the most from Sandy because you wouldn’t really realise how much work costume designers and other parts of the crew put in. She told me that for Cinderella’s ball gown there was actually eight versions which is quite a lot.”
Manasi, who goes to Chalfont St Peter Catholic Primary School, added: “It was nice to receive compliments about my interviewing.
“Some of them said I was one of the best interviewers.”
