Free rail travel for marathon runners
MARATHON runners will be offered free rail travel as a reward for taking on the gruelling challenge.
Chiltern Railways is set to offer participants in the London Marathon on Sunday free travel on all of its services.
To take advantage of the scheme, runners simply need to present their official marathon tabard with race number to ticket inspectors.
In addition to this, the company has teamed up with Network Rail to run two extra early morning trains from Banbury to Aylesbury.
The extra early morning train from Banbury leaves at 6.40am, arriving at London Marylebone at 7.58am.
The extra Aylesbury train will leave at 7am, arriving at London Marylebone at 8.06am.
