Trainers to the fore for fundraisers
A GROUP of runners took on the Marathon in order to raise funds for a care home.
The Chiltern House Leonard Cheshire Disability Home in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross had a group of five people running for it in this year’s marathon.
The home looks after disabled people and provides for their needs, with all money raised going directly to the home in Gerrards Cross.
The group included Lynda Birell, a teacher at Elmtree School in Chesham and a member of the Gerrards Cross Running Sisters who finished in five hours and 38 seconds, Hiren Gandhi, of Blaser Mills solicitors in Amersham who finished in four hours 16 minutes, Alex WilsonJones, who works for the same company, with five hours and four minutes, Elzabeth Crosse with four hours and 36 minutes and Mick Foskett with three hours and 40 minutes.
On Sunday, people living at the home gathered around a
GOOD CAUSE: Alexandra Wilson-Jones with Mark at the Chiltern House and Hiren Gandhi with their trainers ahead of the big day television to watch the runners in action.
