Train­ers to the fore for fundrais­ers

A GROUP of run­ners took on the Marathon in or­der to raise funds for a care home.

The Chiltern House Leonard Cheshire Dis­abil­ity Home in Pack­horse Road, Ger­rards Cross had a group of five peo­ple run­ning for it in this year’s marathon.

The home looks af­ter dis­abled peo­ple and pro­vides for their needs, with all money raised go­ing di­rectly to the home in Ger­rards Cross.

The group in­cluded Lynda Birell, a teacher at Elmtree School in Che­sham and a mem­ber of the Ger­rards Cross Run­ning Sis­ters who fin­ished in five hours and 38 sec­onds, Hiren Gandhi, of Blaser Mills so­lic­i­tors in Amer­sham who fin­ished in four hours 16 min­utes, Alex Wil­sonJones, who works for the same com­pany, with five hours and four min­utes, Elz­a­beth Crosse with four hours and 36 min­utes and Mick Fos­kett with three hours and 40 min­utes.
