NICE TO MEET EWE: David Martin from Bucks County Council, Linda Smith from Chiltern District Council and Stephen Watkins from Chorleywood Parish Council were introduced to the lambs by Verena Clark NEWBORN lambs melted hearts last week when some important visitors stopped at the Chiltern Open Air Museum.

David Martin from Bucks County Council and Linda Smith from Chiltern District Council were at the Chalfont St Giles museum, to welcome the visitors, along with Stephen Watkins from Chorleywood Parish Council.

The traditional Bucks lambing fold was created by the museum a number of years ago with funding from the Chilterns Conservation Board.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees Verena Clark introduced the councillors to Jenny, the second lamb to be born this season and one of a pair of twins born on Friday April 11.

The rare breed sheep are kept at the museum to show visitors the types of animals that would have been seen on farms here in the past.
