It’s shrew time for lovers of Shakespeare comedy

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON STAGE -

THE Chiltern Shakespeare Company is back with one of the bard’s most entertaining plays – The Taming of The Shrew.

The famous comedy tells the tale of the tussle between hot-headed Kate and her dynamic wooer Petruchio.

The venue is the parkland of Hall Barn, Beaconsfield from June 10 -13 and June 17-20 at 8pm, with matinee performances on June 13 and June 20 at 2pm.

The grounds will open two hours before the show for those who want to enjoy a picnic by the picturesque lake.

This year the company will be supporting Penn School, a non-maintained day and boarding school for children with communication difficulties.

The small classes are supported by specialist teachers, speech and language therapists and additional learning support.

For the older pupils, emphasis is placed on work-related learning, independent living and links with colleges.

The donation will be used for a much-needed upgrade of computers and other IT equipment.
