Ju­nior fun run win­ners

NEARLY 80 Bucks young­sters took part in a fun run on Satur­day.

Pupils from 12 schools ran dis­tances of be­tween 1.2 and 2.4km for the ju­nior fun run which was or­gan­ised by Mis­bourne Matins Ro­tary Club.

The event in­volved chil­dren from Malt­man’s Green School, Chal­font St Peter CoE Academy and St Joseph’s Catholic Pri­mary School, from the vil­lage of Chal­font St Peter,

Thorpe House School, St Mary’s School and The Ger­rards Cross CoE School, all from Ger­rards Cross, also took part in the event. Chil­dren from Dave­nies School and Holt­spur Schools, in Bea­cons­field; Seer Green CoE, Dair House in Farn­ham Royal, Iver Heath Ju­nior School and The Stoke Po­ges School, also took part.

Mis­bourne Matins Ro­tar­ian and marathon run­ner, Carin Eil­erts de Haan, who or­gan­ised the event, said: “The chil­dren ran re­ally well, de­spite the windy con­di­tions.

“It is great that kids are so keen to im­prove their health and fit­ness through ex­er­cise.”

All fin­ish­ers re­ceived a medal and goody bag
