Teacher leads by ex­am­ple

A SPORTY teacher who com­pleted the Lon­don Marathon hopes to in­spire her pupils to achieve their goals.

Teacher at St Mary’s Church of Eng­land Pri­mary School Louise Stock­dale, or­gan­ises a run­ning club at the Old Amer­sham school and has en­tered bud­ding run­ners into var­i­ous com­pe­ti­tion with good re­sults.

Mrs Stock­dale said: “The Lon­don Marathon was an in­cred­i­ble ex­pe­ri­ence. I was so en­cour­aged by the amaz­ing crowd who to­tally in­volved them­selves in mo­ti­vat­ing the run­ners. I feel very priv­i­leged to have been a part of this race.

“The chil­dren, par­ents and staff from St Mary’s gave me great en­cour­age­ment and helped me to ex­ceed what I needed to raise for my char­ity. I hope that by hav­ing done this, I will en­cour­age our chil­dren to aim high and achieve it.”
