Rocking into the weekend...
Pubs have always played an important part in our communities and we’re keen to ensure that tradition continues. Here, some landlords share their latest news. We’ll drink to that!
and a DJ will follow at midnight. THE SWAN
PEOPLE will be able to enjoy a family fun day at a village pub this summer.
The Swan Inn, in Village Road, Denham, is hosting the event on Saturday, July 25 from 3pm.
Plans are already in place for the big day, and attractions will include live music, a selection of local beers to try,
a wine bar, Pimm’s, face painting and Punch and Judy.
There will also be a barbecue to keep people fuelled throughout the afternoon.
To get involved, simply go along to the pub on the day. THE SWAN
A PUB has once again won an award for raising the most money for charity.
The Amersham and Chesham Lions Club Easter Charity Pub Raffle was again won by The Swan in Ley Hill for the sixth time in the last 10 years whilst Sam and Nigel Byatt have been the landlords.
They raised a £200 out of a total of £556 from all five pubs taking part.
The club’s president Chris Orchard recently went along to the pub to provide the Byatts with the trophy shield.
The funds raised from all the pubs taking part will go towards local charities and good causes supported by the club.
