Bloom town – sow the seeds for suc­cess

ON Satur­day, you can find out 1 all about Amer­sham-in­Bloom at an in­for­ma­tion day at St Michael's Square, Sycamore Road.

There will be a plant sale at 10am, a craft fair in the church all day, a sun­flower seedling give­away all day. At 11.15am, there will be a de­sign a flowerbed win­ner pre­sen­ta­tion and from 11.30am un­til 1.30pm, Amer­sham Band will per­form. At mid­day, there will be a pre­sen­ta­tion for the veg­etable sculp­ture com­pe­ti­tion win­ner and at 12.45pm a pre­sen­ta­tion for the gar­den in a shoe­box com­pe­ti­tion.

The Ger­rards Cross Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion is host­ing an open day on Satur­day and peo­ple will be given the chance to ex­plore the Me­mo­rial Cen­tre while chat­ting to rep­re­sen­ta­tives of dif­fer­ent groups about what they of­fer.

There will be some­thing for the whole fam­ily to choose from and en­joy.

The event is free to at­tend and will start at 10am.

2 FAM­I­LIES can get try sports and get fit at the week­end by go­ing to a ten­nis club's open day. Che­sham 1879 Lawn Ten­nis and Squash Club in Ped­normead End, Che­sham, is hold­ing an open day on Satur­day from 11am to 3pm.

PEO­PLE squash taster ses­sions, free ten­nis coach­ing ses­sions, un­der 10s mini ten­nis, re­fresh­ments and a li­cenced bar and ju­nior and se­nior ex­hi­bi­tion matches.
