Young­sters aged five to 11 can make and dec­o­rate a Mad Hat­ter’s hat at Che­sham Mu­seum, in Mar­ket Square.

This ac­tiv­ity is in hon­our of Roger Crabbe, a char­ac­ter from Che­sham’s past, whose name lives on in Crabbe Cres­cent.

It has been sug­gested he was the in­spi­ra­tion for Lewis Car­rol’s Mad Hat­ter char­ac­ter.

The ac­tiv­ity is free but dona­tions are wel­come.

An adult will need to stay in the mu­seum in Mar­ket Square.
