Hopes pupils’ survey will calm traffic
PUPILS took to the street to undertake a survey of traffic on a road near to their school.
A group of newly appointed road safety officers from Gayhurst School in Bull Lane went out into the road following concerns from parents about traffic there.
The youngsters took to the road at 8am and counted traffic and pedestrians for an hour.
Matthew Jackson, a year six pupil at the school, said: “In one 10 minute period we counted 127 vehicles.”
The school is now hoping that the findings
