Cheryl Gillan, MP for Chesham and Amersham who was re-elected earlier this month, toured the new research facilities and heard about how the society wants to leverage its medical research strength to revolutionise how epilepsy is diagnosed and treated. Mrs Gillan said: “I have been coming to Epilepsy Society for 23 years and am delighted to hear about their plans to revolutionise the way in which epilepsy is diagnosed and treated.
“It has been hugely exciting to return to the research centre we opened in 2013 and see Epilepsy Society’s researchers in action, sequencing the DNA of people with epilepsy.
She added: “National Epilepsy Week follows hot on the heels of the general election and this is an exciting time for us to make sure epilepsy remains as a priority on the political health agenda.” CHALFONTS: Ornaments were stolen from gardens on Friday night in Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles.
Roads targeted include Stylecroft Road, High Street and Cherry Acre in Chalfont St Giles and Wheatley Way in Chalfont St Peter.
