Strong message on smoking dangers
PUPILS learnt all about the negative effects of s smoking at a p presentation.
The stop smoking charity Quit recently went to Chesham Grammar School, in White Hill, Chesham, and gave an antismoking presentation to its year eight pupils.
They were shown pictures of what happens to some of the body’s internal organs as a result of smoking and there was a ‘very strong message’ that smoking was not good.
Preventing the uptake of smoking in young people is a key public health priority, and Buckinghamshire County Council in partnership with Quit has been delivering a new programme called Smoke Free Family Life to a number of secondary schools in Buckinghamshire.
