THAMES VALLEY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE Chesham Falkland 292-6 200-9 when Falkland replied and the ninth dropped at 173, but numbers 10 and 11 held on for a draw at 200-9, despite Dan Babula taking 3-69.

In Division Two B, there was also an early collapse to 57-6 for the seconds, but skipper Matt Watson (25) held firm and was joined in a crucial partnership of 60 with Jack Gibbings, who hit 41, including two big sixes, enabling his team to total 130.

James Anderson (3-14) and Peter Clifford (3-38) then ran through the early Tring Park batting, and with Umar Aslam weighing in with a remarkable 3-6 in seven overs, they were dismissed for a lowly 64, with Chesham winning by 66 runs.

In Division Five A, skipper Steve Ayres recaptured some of his former youthful zest in taking a match-winning 6-24 in 15 overs as the thirds bowled out Marlow for a mere 61 after being dismissed themselves for just 121, but the fourths lost a lowscoring match at Ruislip.

Back in Division One, Beaconsfield beat Cookham Dene by three wickets, while Chenies & Latimer went down by seven wickets to Marlow Park in Division Three B, and Chalfont St Peter lost by 51 runs at Wycombe Dragons in Division Four A.
