TOP ATH­LETES: The Team South Bucks 800m run­ners Jess Orr, Hannah Thear and Mimi Houli­han-Burne TEAM South Bucks look set for a sec­ond con­sec­u­tive Youth Devel­op­ment League (Up­per Age Group) ti­tle fol­low­ing a con­vinc­ing win in the match at Lit­tle Mar­low on Satur­day.

South Bucks, com­posed of ath­letes from Chiltern Har­ri­ers and Wy­combe Phoenix, bagged 791 points, ahead of sec­ond placed Bed­ford & County (626) and third placed Team Ox­ford­shire (481).

There were wins for Jor­dan Layne in the U20 400m A and Dan Hunter in the B string, while Tim Rogers was a con­vinc­ing win­ner in the U17 men’s A string 400m and Kai Mcken­zie ex­celled in the field, win­ning both high jump and triple jump.

Rachel Klima won the U20 women’s A string 200m, while there was a dou­ble victory in the 800m for Hannah Thear and Emma Del­gado and a 1500m A string win for Rachel Pad­wick.

Eden Hud­son and El­lie Claes­sans had a dou­ble win in the pole vault, matched by Lisa Fitz­patrick and Emma Del­gado in the long jump, while U17 women Anna Jones and Megan Styles won the pole vault and triple jump re­spec­tively.

Mean­while, Bea­cons­field sis­ters Becca and Anna Croft were both cel­e­brat­ing vic­to­ries at the UKA Youth Devel­op­ment League South­ern Pre­mier Di­vi­sion fix­ture at Lee Val­ley.

Older sib­ling Becca won the U20 400m in 57.35 secs, be­fore hand­ing over to Anna to win the U17 300m in 41.39 secs. Both were com­pet­ing for Wind­sor, Slough, Eton & Houn­slow AC.
