Chance to see some real horse power this mid­sum­mer

Park, Chal­font St Giles, is invit­ing the public to step back in time and watch tra­di­tional farm­ing tech­niques in ac­tion at their an­nual Work­ing Heavy Horse Show on Sun­day, June 21.

Dur­ing the show you will be able to watch spec­tac­u­lar arena events, pa­rades and en­joy demon­stra­tions of tra­di­tional farm work such as hay mak­ing, – weather de­pen­dent – horse log­ging and cul­ti­va­tion in the mu­seum’s fields.

You can also meet eet a va­ri­ety of work­ing g horses in­clud­ing Shires, Cly­des­dales, es, Suffolk Punches and Percherons, and you will be able ble to visit the three res­i­dent horses, Har­vey, arvey, Sa­muel and Joshua.
