Firefighter so proud to have served for 47 years
999 service personnel – sponsored by GE Healthcare
THE longest serving firefighter in the county has been nominated for a Pride of Bucks award.
Paul Lillycrop has been nominated for the 999 service personnel award, which is sponsored by GE Healthcare, by his colleague Colin Marks.
The 65-year-old retired at the beginning of May after a 47-year career at Amersham Fire Station.
When asked about the achievement of being one of the longest-standing fire officers in the country, Mr Lillycrop said: “I am very proud of that, it is a big thing. I have loved every minute of it and I would recommend a career in the fire service.”
