A SU­PER­MAR­KET em­ployee has been nom­i­nated for al­ways go­ing the ex­tra mile to help dis­abled cus­tomers.

Che­sham Sains­bury’s em­ployee Josh Robin­son al­ways takes the time to en­sure a dis­abled cus­tomer is cared for, and has been nom­i­nated for the Em­ployee/ busi­ness per­son of the Year Award.

Josh was put up for the award for pro­vid­ing dis­abled cus­tomers with out­stand­ing cus­tomer ser­vice and go­ing the ex­tra mile to pro­vide as­sis­tance to those who need it at ev­ery op­por­tu­nity.

Ac­cord­ing to his nom­i­na­tor, Josh is al­ways will­ing to do what ever it takes to cater to the cus­tomers’ needs.

Mark Birch, 48, who nom­i­nated Josh, said: “I had two mini-strokes be­tween 2006 and 2010 and since then I have found it dif­fi­cult to walk. He is al­ways more help­ful than the rest of the peo­ple there. But I find Sains­bury’s staff to be much more help­ful to peo­ple who are dis­abled.”

Mr Birch added: “When he is putting my shop­ping through he slows down and takes ex­tra care to help me and al­ways loads my shop­ping into bags for me.”
