Healthy eating talk strikes a chord with pupils
THE OWNER of a catering company spoke to pupils at an assembly recently and received a pleasant surprise when a parent got in touch to tell her how her talk had won her daughter over.
Kate Martin, who has helped develop a number of healthy eating initiatives over the years, is from Beaconsfield and owns independent schools catering company Brookwood, gave the talk at High March School, Ledborough Lane.
During the year she delivers healthy eating assemblies to about 35,000 pupils, helping them know more about where their food comes from, the importance of starting their day with a good breakfast and which foods will support pupils’ concentration in the classroom and fitness on the sports field.
