UNANSWERED PRAYER: Aaron Pierre and team team-matesmates after the shoot-out losing on penalties.

It would be enough to demoralise most players but Pierre has called on the squad to use their experience to mount another promotion cha charge in League Two ne next campaign.

“We can only go upw upwards from here,” Pier Pierre said.

““This is a learning curv curve. It hurts me deeply and I’m sure it hurts ever everyone else too, but we don don’t want this to hap happen again.

““The only way you can recover from this is to m make sure next season is o our best season ever. Pro Promotion has to be the aim for us next season now now.

““We had two attempts and unfortunately we fell short on both occ occasions, so next sea season is a must.

““People expected us to go down this season as well and we proved the them wrong, so now we ha have to back ourselves up and make sure that we do the business next se season.

“I never expected m myself to be playing at Wembley so soon in my career but unfortunatelyf the game didn’t go the right way.”
