Volunteers get early years ready for summer

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SCHOOL REPORT -

CHILDREN spruced up their school when they took part in a tidy-up day.

Parents and staff from Little Spring School, in Greenway, Chesham, as well as volunteers from Paradigm were invited to the school to help the pupils get the Early Years department ready for summer.

They painted fences, dug flowerbeds, painted spools to look like toadstool tables, had a really good sort and tidy and filled the dustbins in the process.

Local businesses Tesco, Euphorium Bakery, and Costcutter provided refreshments such as tea, coffee, pastries and bacon rolls for the helpers while Wickes, Circle 7 and Crown Form Timber provided the school with supplies and resources including wood, paint, brushes and more.

Pre-school manager Jane Rose said: “We got loads done and now the outside area is ready for the children to enjoy this summer. The children have made thank you cards and delivered them to some of the business involved.”
