Running to give School Aid a boost
FUN FOR ALL: Families taking part in last year’s Family Fun Run and Walk in Gerrards Cross FAMILIES are being encouraged to put their best feet forward when a fundraising walk and run takes place.
School Aid, a charity based in Hedgerley which supports the advancement of education in Africa by providing educational materials to schools in disadvantaged communities, is organising the event.
The Family Fun Run and Walk takes place on Sunday, July 5, and involves participants taking part in either a 2km or 5km course.
The longer route starts at Bulstrode Park, in Gerrards Cross, before passing through Hedgerley Green, and the shorter walk does part of the same course.
Dogs on leads are welcome on both routes, with entry costing £10 for an individual, £8 per person for a team and £18 for a family.
The event took place for the first time last year and proved to be successful.
Jane Perry, a volunteer with School Aid, said: “We have kept the entry fees low so everyone can take part.
“Last year was the first such event and with sponsorship we doubled our income.”
