Bucks is busiest M25 stretch
FOR anyone who uses the M25 in Bucks, this will not come as much of a surprise.
Data boffins have calculated that the western part of the M25, including Buckinghamshire, is the busiest stretch of motorway in Britain.
Our stretch of the M25 had an average of 161,000 vehicles per day passing through, from the junction with the A1 motorway to the M23 junction at Merstham.
The junctions in between serve much of Surrey, west London, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. This was a 2.5 per cent traffic increase compared to the year before.
It was the highest average daily traffic figure in data going back to 2002. That was the fourth year in a row that traffic on the western side of the M25 has gone up.
It equated to an extra 19,000 vehicles on this stretch of the motorway in 2014 compared to 2004.
The western end of the orbital motorway was once again the busiest stretch by some distance in Britain.
