Still a chance to sign up for big charity bike ride
COUNTY Council Leader Martin Tett is urging cycling enthusiasts to get on their bikes and join him this weekend in a huge charity ride.
Mr Tett has taken part in the Tour de Vale Bike Ride almost every year for the last 10 years.
And now as he gears himself up to ride 60k on Sunday, he is calling on other cyclists to enter the event in aid of WheelPower, the Stoke Mandeville-based national charity for wheelchair sport.
So far, 1,700 people have entered, but there are still places for a further 300. Advanced entries officially closed on June 3 but any remaining will be sold on the day of the ride, subject to availability, for £30 per adult. Visit www.tourdevale.com
