Pub’s magical transformation
A MUCH loved village pub is set to reopen this summer after months of refurbishment.
Merlin’s Cave, in Chalfont St Giles, is opening on July 2 with the restoration including job opportunities for 40 positions. Located just been the green in the village centre, owners hope the refurbishment will transform it into a country pub with an all fresh food restaurant serving a variety of beers from cask and bottle.
Managing partner Nick Hancock is looking for a team of 40 people to start work in time for when the pub opens. The jobs that are available include chefs, kitchen assistants, front of house team members, bar staff and housekeeping positions.
Mr Hancock said: “At The Merlin’s Cave we promise to offer our guests a fantastic experience with exceptional food and drink they won’t find anywhere else.”
A new head chef, Peter Wallace, joins the team after cooking for the Royal Household as well as a number of gastropubs and restaurants across the country.
