PUPILS from two schools com­peted in a joint sports day last week. Thomas Harding School, in Fullers Hill, Che­sham, held its an­nual joint sports day event with Elmtree School last Wed­nes­day.

The Thomas Harding pupils had their sports day in the morn­ing with Elmtree pupils ar­riv­ing in the af­ter­noon for theirs.

Sports in­cluded tra­di­tional run­ning races and track events, sprint­ing and hur­dles as well as a range of field events in­clud­ing dis­cus, javelin and ball throw­ing.

There was also a pic­nic lunch which saw par­ents from both schools join.

Head­teacher Jan Burgess said: “It was a re­ally lovely day with ev­ery­one par­tic­i­pat­ing and show­ing off their sport­ing ex­per­tise.”
