World Cup star Will has a ball in the hall

PAST and present pupils cel­e­brated as their school marked the open­ing of a new hall in style. Ful­mer In­fant School held a grand open­ing on Fri­day at­tended by World Cup-win­ning for­mer Eng­land rugby star Will Green­wood.

He cut the rib­bon and spoke to young­sters and their par­ents, with 200 guests in at­ten­dance.

Among those en­joy­ing the day were rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Bucks County Coun­cil, mem­bers of the lo­cal com­mu­nity and fam­i­lies and friends of cur­rent and for­mer pupils.

Sue Kirby, chair­man of the gov­er­nors, thanked ev­ery­one for at­tend­ing and for do­nat­ing money to­wards the costs of the build­ing.

Head teacher Cathy Hunt said: “The hall has sig­nif­i­cantly en­hanced the ed­u­ca­tion of present pupils and gen­er­a­tions of pupils to come.”
