OAKLAND PARK GC GENEROUS club members at Oakland Park have dug deep to help raise £7,680 for The Prince’s Trust during Peter Hollingsworth’s year as men’s captain.
Hollingsworth has now presented a cheque for the amount to the charity. He is pictured, above, with the Prince’s Trust’s Alison Mihail, men’s treasurer David Liston, club member and Prince’s Trust volunteer David Priest, and past men’s captain Roger Newman.
Hollingsworth said: “The generosity of the members and management of Oakland Park appears to show no bounds. Every year the members dig deep and there is always enthusiastic support from the whole club for the charities chosen by the three captains.”
Mihail added: “When Peter first suggested to me that he wanted to support The Prince’s Trust I was delighted. It was the first time I have been approached for something like this and it is clear the year was a great success. We are very grateful.”
