Life and love in the Latin Quarter

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - FIVE OF THE BEST -

Join The Royal Opera for one of the best-loved operas of all time as John Copley’s timeless and beloved production of Puccini’s La Bohème which will be shown as live at The Elgiva.

Cinema audiences will be treated to a star-studded cast including Anna Netrebko and Joseph Calleja as Mimì and Rodolfo.

The story of the penniless poet and seamstress is set in the Bohemian Paris of the 1830s, the colourful and vibrant Latin Quarter contrasts against the tender and ultimately tragic love story, which is given moving expression through Puccini’s beautiful and memorable score.

La Bohème includes many recognisable arias and duets which have captivated audiences in Covent Garden since the very first production there in 1897.
