A CON­TEM­PO­RARY twist to the clas­sic mar­tini, this Scotch-based drink is en­hanced with the tang of the cit­rus fruits and sweet­ness of the mar­malade and in­dul­gent runny honey.

It’s a de­light on the palate and is per­fect for those who have not pre­vi­ously con­sid­ered them­selves a fan of whisky. Sim­ple to make and a sur­pris­ingly light drink com­pared to the other vari­ants of the gin and vodka based mar­ti­nis.

METHOD­OL­OGY: Stir four spoons of runny honey and half a tea­spoon of mar­malade with 2 shots of Scotch whisky in the base of a shaker tin un­til dis­solved. Add 1 shot freshly squeezed lemon juice and one shot freshly squeezed or­ange juice. Add ice to tin and shake, fine strain and pour into a chilled mar­tini glass.
