Jolly Sports­man gains twice as many votes as near­est ri­val

STAFF and cus­tomers of a Che­sham pub are cel­e­brat­ing af­ter be­ing named the Bucks Advertiser and Ex­am­iner Pub of the Year 2015.

Land­lady Deb­o­rah Wil­bee said she was ab­so­lutely de­lighted to come out top in the com­pe­ti­tion, par­tic­u­larly as it the re­sult was de­ter­mined by public vote. The Jolly Sports­man, in Eskdale Av­enue, Che­sham, re­ceived more than twice the num­ber of votes as its near­est ri­val and many tes­ta­mo­ni­als from its cus­tomers. Af­ter be­ing pre­sented with a tro­phy and a com­mem­o­ra­tive front page recog­nis­ing the achieve­ment, Deb­o­rah said: “I am so lucky to have such a great bunch of reg­u­lars here. It re­ally is like an ex­tended fam­ily.

“Thank you so much for this award, I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
