Getting ready to glow
A MOTHER and daughter from Bucks are among scores of families, friends and work colleagues preparing to glow for a hospice’s new neon-themed midnight walk.
The Hospice of St Francis’ Glow for It Midnight Walk will take place on Saturday, June 27.
Lynda Wildman, 68, and her daughter Carrie, 33, have signed up for the 10 mile route as Team Wild Thing.
Daughter Carrie, from Cumberland Close, Little Chalfont, said: “I absolutely love spending time with my mum. Mum walks a lot and I do Zumba, cycling and have run six half marathons as well as several five and 10Ks. We should get round no problem – I’m sure the fantastic atmosphere will spur us on!”
More than 600 walkers will light-up the night as they follow one of two brand new five or 10 mile routes around the streets of Hemel Hempstead.
