Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - PRIDE OF BUCKS 2015 - By Camilla Goodman camilla.goodman@trinitymirror.com

THE third annual Pride of Bucks awards is going to be ‘bigger and better,’ one of the event’s hosts has predicted.

The Examiner/ Advertiser’s Pride of Bucks 2015 will take place at Stoke Park in Stoke Poges on Monday, June 29.

Returning as hosts for their third year are The Breeze radio presenter Robert Kenny and ITV Meridian’s Louise Lewis.

They will work alongside this year’s presenter Suzanne Shaw.

Mr Kenny is excited to host the awards once again.

He said: “This is going to be our third time, it’s been really good.

“When we did the first year, everyone said it’s amazing that there’s so many people in this area doing amazing, brave and inspirational things.

“It was nice to give them a day to recognise what they achieved.

“It was a great event and lots of people were recognised, however then it was a bit like is there enough to do it again, and we did the second year and the answer was yes, and from what I’ve heard it’s getting bigger and better.”

He added: “It’s always a good event.

“There are lots of nice stories and they’re all inspiring but some can be quite emotional too.

“Louise and I will read through the script before the event but it’s not until you hear the stories and have the people around you that it hits you about how fantastic they’ve been, it can be quite emotional.”

Mr Kenny thinks everyone who attends the event will have a good day.

He said: “I think the whole experience of coming along to a fantastic setting and having a really nice day out is great.

“Many people don’t know what to expect when they turn up but they enjoy the whole show and if they win, even better!”
