Play will give community a chance shine
Drama club’s summer performance
YOUNG actors are set to get their chance to shine in a summer play designed to bring a community together.
The Iver Heath Drama Club is set to put on a new comedy play entitled Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit.
Younger members of the group, which meets and performs at Iver Heath Village Hall, are being given all of the leading roles in the play.
The performance is also being used as a chance for members of the community to get to know the club better and to discover more about what it does and the sort of shows it puts on.
Before the show takes place, the club will be holding a meet and greet event which it is hoped that lots of people will attend.
Matthew Streuli, who is vice chairman of the club, and who will be playing a pig in the play, said: “We have a range of fantastic community groups and assets in our area.
“If we get to know each other a little better, we could help each other solve more problems and

Among the confirmed attendees so far are representatives from Pinewood Studios, which sponsors the group, as well as McAlpine Construction, which is constructing the expansion to the studios.
Members of Iver Parish Council will also be going along, as well as representative of Iver Heath Junior School, Iver Heat Residents Association, Friends of Slough Canal and the Iver Singers.
Profits from the event will go towards funding the club and future productions, such as its annual pantomime, set to be performed later this year.
Club president and parish councillor Reg Gould said: “It is great to see Iver Heath Drama Club become a focal point for all ages in our parish and bring us all together.”
