Volunteers clean up at Iver centre
A TEAM of volunteers has been getting its hands dirty helping out at an environment centre.
A group of 15 employees at the construction firm Skanska went along to the Iver Environment Centre earlier this month to carry out important maintenance work at the Iver Environment Centre.
During a day of intensive work, they erected a giant tepee, cleared overgrown space to form a new patio, and painted a new pergola.
They also demolished an old pizza oven before setting the foundations for its replacement.
Debra Frankiewicz, manager of the Iver Environment Centre,
The team from Skanska working at the Iver Environment Centre said: “The work Skanska has done contributes to allowing children to access and reconnect with nature which helps them to develop their own personal skills.”
Cassandra Cann, a senior HR manager at Skanska, said: “We’re all leaving the centre exhausted but it was a fantastic project to be involved in.”
