RICHINGS Park Bowls Club have it all to do in the second leg of their Spoons Challenge Match against Iver Heath in August after losing the first leg 119-98 on Saturday.
They managed to win on only two out of seven rinks, with the best being a 20-10 triumph for Cyril Dean, Athena Cawley and John Newton.
Against Court Park in the Thames Valley League, it finished a rink apiece, but Richings went down 39-13 overall, despite an 18-9 success for Les Brind, Gary Masters and Bob Matthews.
It was a similar tale against Wexham Park in the Bucks Plate League, where the teams tied on two rinks each, but Richings emerged as overall victors 57-53. This followed a narrowas-they-come 50-49 win over Harlington, in which Peter Owen, Diane Bowd and Les Brind’s 20-13 rink win made all the difference.
