Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON SHOW -

AUDIENCES will be able to take a trip back to the era of punk music thanks to a new play.

A performance of Punk’s Not Dead will go ahead at the Court Theatre in Tring later this month.

It tells the story of five old friends who reunite to se their childhood heroes, the Sex Pistols, in concert.

It is less a show about punk but more a hilarious and touching examination of friendship, nostalgia and the trials of growing up.

Written by Richard Herring, one of the UK’s most prolific comedy writers, it is a unique and fun production which is set ot leave audiences smiling and thoughtful.

The cast includes Dan Clucas, Mike Code, Andy Faber, Dennis Fugard and Colin Hubbocks and will be directed by Fiona Quilter-Wood.

She said: “Working with these guys is an absolute joy and an honour, rehearsals are a great deal of fun and as the cast have known each other and worked together for such a long time, their on stage relationship is perfect.

“We are delighted to be allowed to bring this fabulous play to the Court and are even more thrilled that the writer Richard Herring, will be attending the final performance for a question and answer session following the show.”
