All are welcome to head to Ayles­bury Shoot­pool, Hale Leys, Ayles­bury, from 9pm for Jamnation, a pow­er­ful weekly jam ses­sion. Thurs­day is Open Mic Night at The Swan, Lon­don End, Bea­cons­field. Mu­sic starts at 9.30pm and fea­tures the cream of lo­cal acous­tic mu­sic tal­ent. All welcome and en­try is free. Tring Park Cricket Club, Lon­don Road, Tring, plays host to singer song­writer Mara Simp­son with sup­port from Maxwell and Moore. The gig starts at 8.30pm and tick­ets cost £5. There’s a dou­ble hit of mu­sic at Ayles­bury Shoot­pool, Hale Leys, Ayles­bury, with rock four-piece Cal­low Saints per­form­ing from 8pm and The Curvy Love Dogz from 10.30pm. Ad­mis­sion is free. Rock cov­ers band RedRocket play The Goat, High Street, Berkham­stead, with a free gig from 9pm. High energy pop, rock, funk, soul, reg­gae and in­die an­thems come to The Misty Moon, High Street, Che­sham, from 9pm in the form of De­ves­ta­tion. Ad­mis­sion is free. Two of Che­sham’s great­est groups – Tin­lin and One Witch Down – merge to cre­ate the town’s own su­per­group One Witch & The Tin­men for a Buryfields af­ter part at The Jolly Sports­man, Eskdale Av­enue, Che­sham, from 10pm. Ad­mis­sion is free. Ris­ing Glouces­ter­shire folk star Hat­tie Briggs takes to the stage at The Draw­ing Room, Fran­cis Yard, Che­sham, for a gig ahead of her Cam­bridge Folk Fes­ti­val ap­pear­ance. Run­ner-up in the Ra­dio 2 Young Folk Awards 2015, this prom­ises to be a per­for­mance not to be missed. She is sup­ported by gritty per­former Natalie Gel­man on tour from the USA. Mon­day June 22

Famed York­shire acous­tic duo Union Jill (Sharon Win­field and He­len Turner) com­bine strong melodies and thought-pro­vok­ing lyrics to cre­ate a sound that is dis­tinc­tive and fresh. You can hear them at Che­sham Folk Club, White Hill Cen­tre, White Hill, Che­sham, from 81.5pm. Tick­ets cost £10.

Tues­day June 23

It’s open mic night at The Oddfel­lows Arms, Lon­don Road, Ap­s­ley, from 9pm. Free ad­mis­sion. Dusty’s Blues Club, Holmer Green Sports As­so­ci­a­tion, Watch­ett Lane, Holmer Green, fea­tures Nigel Bagge with Rob Mills, Ed­die Mas­ters and Ed Spe­vock. The mu­sic starts at 9pm.
