Gym day inspired by women’s cycle tour
PEOPLE had fun trying out new sports at a gym’s open day which tied in with a prestigious cycling competition.
Stage five of the 2015 Aviva Women’s Tour passed through Chiltern District on Sunday (June 21). To mark the event a family Be Inspired event was held at Chesham Leisure Centre, in White Hill, from 10am to 2.30pm on the same day.
The event was free of charge and offered a chance for people to try out new sports such as parkour, tag rugby, table tennis, spinning badminton, activity sessions and lots more. Prizes were also up for grabs.
Spokesperson for Chiltern District Council Viv Saunders said: “There was something for all the family and it was a great warm up before going into the town centre to watch the Women’s Tour go through.”
