On song for sum­mer fair

A NEWLY formed com­mu­nity choir will sing at the Sum­mer Fair on Wed­nes­day July 1.

Ac­cord will per­form from 6.45pm to 7.45pm out­side Tesco on Pack­horse Road.

The choir is open to any­one in the com­mu­nity with a de­sire to sing and is jointly led by Deb­bie Henry from St James Church, Ger­rards Cross, Roo Stewart from Gold­hill Bap­tist church, Chal­font St Peter, and Amy-Jane Wil­son from the Parish Church of Chal­font St Peter.

Ac­cord is a con­tem­po­rary choir singing a wide range of dif­fer­ent styles of mu­sic,

in­clud­ing soul, rock, pop and gospel.

There are no au­di­tions or join­ing fees and you do not have to be able to read mu­sic. All parts are taught and a re­hearsal CD is supplied.

Af­ter their per­for­mance at the Ger­rards Cross Sum­mer Fair and a sum­mer break, the choir will start re­hearsals ready for Christ­mas.
