A fistful of fun at Wild West fair
Rennie Grove Hospice Care will benefit from this year’s Summer Fair and Craft Market at Missenden Abbey on Sunday, July 12 July RENNIE Grove Hospice Care is set to benefit from this year’s summer fair and craft market at Missenden Abbey.
The popular annual event has a Wild West flavour this year, with a live Wild West show, line dancing, rodeo bull and inflatables, and an outdoor saloon bar – as well as more than 60 craft stalls.
Director of fundraising and marketing at Rennie Grove, Gillian Barnett, said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as Charity of the Year for this event. 2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding charities that came together to form Rennie Grove so it’s an important milestone for us.
“It’s great to be involved with such a popular event in the local community because our services are for the local community and funded by the local community.”
All Rennie Grove’s services are provided at no cost to the patient or their family – but the charity needs £6.7million every year to care for 3,000 patients and families affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness.
Gillian added: “Generating income to ensure the needs of current and future patients can be met is crucial.
“The support and awareness generated by events like Missenden Abbey’s summer fair is invaluable.”
So grab a ‘fistful of dollars’ and head down to the Abbey this July for Wild West fun for all the family.
The summer fair and craft market is at Missenden Abbey on Sunday, July 12 from 11am till 4pm.
