REN­NIE Grove Hos­pice Care is de­lighted to in­tro­duce one of our new­est re­cruits to the char­ity’s Fundrais­ing Team.

Merry Wright, who has moved back to her home town of Che­sham af­ter seven years liv­ing and work­ing in Lon­don in a range of char­ity and sales roles, is our new Cor­po­rate Fundraiser work­ing with busi­nesses in Buck­ing­hamshire.

Merry ex­plains: “My goal is to meet with as many lo­cal com­pa­nies as pos­si­ble so they get to know me, Ren­nie Grove and the ben­e­fits work­ing with a lo­cal char­ity can bring a busi­ness.

“Char­ity part­ner­ships can boost staff morale, help your busi­ness reach a new au­di­ence and en­able you to give some­thing back to your com­mu­nity. For Ren­nie Grove, your sup­port means we can help more peo­ple af­fected by can­cer and life-lim­it­ing ill­ness, giv­ing them the choice to spend their fi­nal days at home.”

This year marks the 30th an­niver­sary of the found­ing char­i­ties that formed Ren­nie Grove. Dur­ing those three decades, thou­sands of pa­tients and their fam­i­lies have been able to ac­cess our 24-hour re­spon­sive ser­vice, where spe­cial­ist nurses visit a pa­tient’s home, any time of the day or night.

With the pop­u­la­tion set to grow by 15% over the next 30 years and the num­ber of over 75s set to dou­ble dur­ing that time, our ser­vices will sadly be in ever-in­creas­ing de­mand.

Merry adds: “Mak­ing sure we bring in enough money to sup­port this grow­ing de­mand is cru­cial. It cur­rently costs us £6.7 mil­lion each year to care for ev­ery­one who needs us. By com­ing on board with Ren­nie Grove, your busi­ness could help safe­guard the fu­ture of our ser­vice in Bucks, en­sur­ing that the grow­ing num­ber of peo­ple who need our care can ac­cess it straight away.

“There are loads of ways your com­pany can get in­volved: staff mem­bers could en­ter an event en masse; you could match fund a col­league’s fundrais­ing ef­forts; you could host a cake sale or run a car wash to raise funds – or you could spon­sor an event and raise your pro­file whilst help­ing us make sure as much money as pos­si­ble can go di­rectly to­wards pa­tient care.”

Ren­nie Grove has re­cently launched a Cor­po­rate Pa­tron Pro­gramme with four lev­els of part­ner­ship where com­pa­nies can re­ceive a va­ri­ety of ben­e­fits in re­turn for a monthly do­na­tion.

“By sign­ing up to the pro­gramme and com­mit­ting to a monthly con­tri­bu­tion, you’ll not only help us care for cur­rent pa­tients but also to plan for the fu­ture with con­fi­dence,” ex­plains Merry.
