Help Merry meet her goal
RENNIE Grove Hospice Care is delighted to introduce one of our newest recruits to the charity’s Fundraising Team.
Merry Wright, who has moved back to her home town of Chesham after seven years living and working in London in a range of charity and sales roles, is our new Corporate Fundraiser working with businesses in Buckinghamshire.
Merry explains: “My goal is to meet with as many local companies as possible so they get to know me, Rennie Grove and the benefits working with a local charity can bring a business.
“Charity partnerships can boost staff morale, help your business reach a new audience and enable you to give something back to your community. For Rennie Grove, your support means we can help more people affected by cancer and life-limiting illness, giving them the choice to spend their final days at home.”
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the founding charities that formed Rennie Grove. During those three decades, thousands of patients and their families have been able to access our 24-hour responsive service, where specialist nurses visit a patient’s home, any time of the day or night.
With the population set to grow by 15% over the next 30 years and the number of over 75s set to double during that time, our services will sadly be in ever-increasing demand.
Merry adds: “Making sure we bring in enough money to support this growing demand is crucial. It currently costs us £6.7 million each year to care for everyone who needs us. By coming on board with Rennie Grove, your business could help safeguard the future of our service in Bucks, ensuring that the growing number of people who need our care can access it straight away.
“There are loads of ways your company can get involved: staff members could enter an event en masse; you could match fund a colleague’s fundraising efforts; you could host a cake sale or run a car wash to raise funds – or you could sponsor an event and raise your profile whilst helping us make sure as much money as possible can go directly towards patient care.”
Rennie Grove has recently launched a Corporate Patron Programme with four levels of partnership where companies can receive a variety of benefits in return for a monthly donation.
“By signing up to the programme and committing to a monthly contribution, you’ll not only help us care for current patients but also to plan for the future with confidence,” explains Merry.
Merry is dedicated to creating and nurturing these mutually beneficial partnerships so please get in touch with her on merry.wright@ renniegrove.org or 01442 820731.
