CHE­SHAM Bowls Club men eased into the quar­ter fi­nals of the Bucks Cup af­ter win­ning all four matches home and away against Mar­low.

Keith Pa­trick won 21-11, Ray Keen 24-15, Mick Sk­erry 26-8 and Chris Har­vey 24-18, mean­ing Che­sham won their di­vi­sion and so will have home ad­van­tage against Iver Heath in the quar­ter-fi­nal.

Che­sham’s ladies are also ad­vanc­ing in the Top Club com­pe­ti­tion af­ter beat­ing Princes Ris­bor­ough in the sec­ond round. Che­sham won the triples and the pairs but lost the sin­gles and fours. How­ever, the high scor­ing pair of Terri Keen and Lin Wright (31-14) saw Che­sham home 74-63.

Che­sham are also in the Buck­ing­hamshire Fi­nal, where they will play away to ei­ther Wad­des­don or Bletch­ley Town, af­ter squeez­ing past Wex­ham in another close en­counter.

Char­lene Turpie lost the sin­gles 21-20 on the very last wood, but Terri Keen and Lin Wright won the pairs 19 -17; Pat Rodgers, Sue Faulks and Sue Springell won the triples 14-11; and Jackie Bate­man, Jean McNab, Shirley Gar­diner and June Hol­land won the fours 16-14.
