CHESHAM Bowls Club men eased into the quarter finals of the Bucks Cup after winning all four matches home and away against Marlow.
Keith Patrick won 21-11, Ray Keen 24-15, Mick Skerry 26-8 and Chris Harvey 24-18, meaning Chesham won their division and so will have home advantage against Iver Heath in the quarter-final.
Chesham’s ladies are also advancing in the Top Club competition after beating Princes Risborough in the second round. Chesham won the triples and the pairs but lost the singles and fours. However, the high scoring pair of Terri Keen and Lin Wright (31-14) saw Chesham home 74-63.
Chesham are also in the Buckinghamshire Final, where they will play away to either Waddesdon or Bletchley Town, after squeezing past Wexham in another close encounter.
Charlene Turpie lost the singles 21-20 on the very last wood, but Terri Keen and Lin Wright won the pairs 19 -17; Pat Rodgers, Sue Faulks and Sue Springell won the triples 14-11; and Jackie Bateman, Jean McNab, Shirley Gardiner and June Holland won the fours 16-14.
